Childhood sweethearts Ellie and James have been together since they were 15, making their wedding at Ellie’s childhood home feel so special. They married at the local church, completely transformed with flowers and stunning foliage, before heading back to the house for a huge garden reception.
A sailcloth marquee filled with pinks, purples and cream flowers sat amongst the gardens, with open-fire cooking, cocktails, live music and some of my favourite 35mm and editorial portraits from the summer. Even the church music had their personality all over it, with Bad Bunny played by a string quartet during the ceremony.
As the evening got going, espresso martinis rolled out, the band joined everyone in the crowd and the dance floor properly took off, granny included.

There was so much love and joy between Ellie and James and the people around them, and you could feel it throughout the day. This one stayed with me for a long time afterwards. It was incredibly special to photograph a day with so much personality and genuine connection behind it.
